I have 11 years of Administrative Assistant/Coordinator experience and have a Bachelor Degree in Management from the University of Belize. While a student at the University of Belize, I volunteered my time in various departments, for which I got involved in filing, designing flyers and coordinating events which include but not limited to Orientation, Graduation and assisting student’s transition at the university. My voluntary efforts progressed into obtaining a part-time post as a Student Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs for which I later applied and was awarded the post of Secretary I to the Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Belize.
After 11 years of working at the University of Belize, I resigned to further my professional development and career. Working at the university gave me the opportunity to work with both internal and external agencies as well as networking opportunities. This position has matured me as a person and developed me into a skilled professional in the workplace. It has also given me the opportunity to travel around the country of Belize thus providing me with strong cultural and geographic knowledge of Belize. I am very responsible, dedicated, efficient, however, most of all I have become highly skilled in the area of public relations and a team player. I am confident that with my hard-working attitude and determination coupled with my education and skills, I will be able to contribute to your organization.
