I am a professional with over 9 years of technical experience in the field of international economics, energy, and climate change including 4 years of experience working for the government on high priority projects. For almost three years, I worked full time for NITI Aayog, Government of India where I contributed to areas of national priority including Energy modelling, Energy Data Management and Working Group on Sustainable Growth. I was also sent for one month training to Austria. Now I work as a UNDP Consultant, where some of my key achievements have been putting together India’s Second Biennial Report on Climate Change to UNFCCC and drafting a proposal which secured funding of Rs. 1 Crore from the government for a novel land-water-energy project in collaboration with an Austrian agency.
I can contribute to strengthening TNC's relations with both central and sate government based on my previous work experience. I have build connections across all levels of the government which can be leveraged for this position. Currently, I am looking to explore new opportunities in the field of land-water- energy nexus and the projects under TNC look extremely exciting, my background of a PhD in Economics from Japan plus experience with government could be a great value addition to your team.
